We were contacted by Jeanette Bancroft of Slo-Dawg Crochet, who volunteered to donate a portion of the proceeds from her crafting to our efforts to help the animals of Hurricane Sandy.

Her designs make great gifts just in time for the Holiday Season. If you are interested in getting some of her work for yourself or your loved ones, please visit... https://www.facebook.com/SloDawgCrochet.

Wag On Inn Rescue

Thanks so much to Michelle, Karen and everyone who donated all the cat and dog food to our animals in need!!! We really appreciate all your help… God Bless all of you!

We’d like to send a huge thank you to Rescue Bank for their amazing donation of dog and cat food so desperately needed after the impact of Hurricane Sandy. The animals give you four paws up.

Here’s a picture of the truck delivering full pallets of food to our storage and distribution facility.

DISPLACED Sandy Pets - NEEDING HOMES
"I was NEGLECTED and SURVIVED the HURRICANE now I'm waiting for you -- YOU ARE STILL COMING, AREN'T YOU, PLEASE?"

All other Islip Animal Shelters (Long Island, NY) were reunited or adopted but sweet Brady still waits and he's such a good dog - they just have so many that he gets overlooked! We have to get one of OUR MOST FAVORITE HURRRICANE SURVIVORS in a HOME and ADORED!

NAME: Brady AKA SMILEY - MAY 18 -- HE's still SITTING IN THE SHELTER!!!! SEE Brady's BLOG: http://islipanimalshelter.wordpress.com/2013/04/08/meet-brady/
INFO: Brought to Islip Animal Shelter as stray days after storm (with Mocha) -- severe neglect so finding his family (other than prosecution) not an option! So, he's been at the shelter now for MONTHS waiting and hoping and hoping and waiting to be chosen! This boy who came in as clearly an "outside dog, fly bites, terrible skin, long nails, thin, ..." deserves SO MUCH MORE! Wake up to a SMILE-Y every day. This face is for KISSIN!.
LOVES: Huggin, Kissin, Smilin, Playin, Okay with most dogs, but cats -- not so much.

  • 3 years in Yonkers shelter. Pinky needs a hero!

    Mari Paws N Claws's Photos
Pinky has been praying for almost 3 years to finally have a family of his own. Yesterday @[239063359478992:274:Yonkers Animal Shelter] had an adoption event, & pinky was all excited & looking dapper. Sadly, nobody gave him any interest. Today he will pray & pray that it will be his turn to go home
